GT World Challenge Eu - Nurburgring - 2025

Nurburgring, a circuit we have only visited once before and that was back in 2019, when we had just started out on this photography journey. So this was a little like a visit to a new track for us and it was great having a look around again.

GT3 Race -

ROWE Racing claimed a historic home victory for BMW in the three-hour Endurance Cup race at the Nürburgring, marking the brand’s first overall GT World Challenge win in Germany. The #98 BMW, driven by Raffaele Marciello, Augusto Farfus, and Jesse Krohn, started from pole and benefited from a well-timed full-course yellow to take the lead from the #7 Aston Martin. Marciello maintained control after the restart to secure a dominant win in front of over 25,000 spectators.

The #48 Mann-Filter Mercedes-AMG (Auer/Cairoli/Engel) finished second, strengthening its lead in the Endurance Cup title race. Rutronik Racing's #96 Porsche completed the podium after a strong recovery, keeping them within five points of the championship lead ahead of the Barcelona finale.

Further down the order, the Schumacher CLRT Porsche took fourth, followed by Grasser Racing’s Lamborghini in fifth. The #64 HRT Mustang initially crossed the line third but dropped to sixth due to a penalty—still its best result to date.

In the Gold Cup, Verstappen.com Racing initially won and appeared to clinch the class title, but a penalty handed victory to the #777 AlManar Racing BMW, meaning the championship will be decided in the final round.
