GT World Challenge Eu - Barcelona - 2025
Second visit to Circuit de Catalunya in as many weeks and our third championship final weekend in a row.
Porsche has claimed its first-ever GT World Challenge powered by AWS title after Rutronik Racing dramatically secured the Endurance Cup crown in the season finale. The three-hour race was won by Garage 59, ending McLaren’s nine-year drought with a dominant performance from Dean MacDonald, Adam Smalley, and Louis Prette in the #58 McLaren. Title drama unfolded further back, where Rutronik’s #96 Porsche, driven by Alessio Picariello, Sven Müller, and Patric Niederhauser, fought from 10th to seventh in a tense final stint, clinching the Endurance title by a single point. The full-season GT World Challenge crown also changed hands late, with the #32 BMW of Weerts, van der Linde, and de Wilde finishing sixth to snatch the championship. Other class titles were also decided: Verstappen.com Racing took Gold Cup honors, Century Motorsport secured the Silver Cup despite early drama, Tresor Attempto Racing claimed the final race win with its #99 Audi, and Rutronik also won the Bronze Cup race, while Kessel Racing sealed the class title to complete a dominant season.
